Time sure flies when you're pregnant! Actually, that's not true. Time could not be going more slowly it seems.
The good news is we are finally in the week of the ultrasound. Tomorrow is 18 weeks! Barring a natural disaster or any other events of catastrophic proportions, I finally get to see the little bugger inside me. Might be a boy, might be a girl, might be a couple little ones, who knows? As long as it's healthy and human, I'm happy.
I'm no longer convinced it's a girl. My stomach is kind of high, which apparently indicates a boy. That is, if you believe that stuff. I still think I just look oddly fat, but Thomas assures me I look pregnant. I'm still transitioning though -- too big for most of my "normal" clothes, but too small for maternity clothes.
The nausea has decided to bid me adieu. Occasionally it drops in to see how I'm doing, but thankfully, it has gradually taken leave of my life. I've said it once, and I'll say it again, it's just not fair throwing up so much without having had any shots.
The cravings have also subsided. I still get my mind set on a food and have to have it, but it's no longer a critical situation.
We've finally gotten cracking on the house. We already had all our furniture (of course, now we need baby furniture), but we were woefully behind on actual decorating. This past weekend, we got our bedroom painted, which will also be the baby's room. We hope to get the living area and foyer painted this week. Once those are taken care of, we can start focusing on the final touches, like art and new lighting fixtures.
I'll share some pictures soon!
